Morning after breakfast drive to Periyar On arrival check-in at hotel Later visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary also known as Thekkady is  located in the hills of the Western Ghats and has a big number of mammals and birds.The sanctuary is famous for wild elephants and the other animals present here are wild boar, sambar, tiger, leopard, wild dog, langur, monkeys etc. The Periyar forest has plenty of trees of banyan, orchid, teakwood, rosewood, tamarind etc. The park is surrounded by various plantations of coffee, tea and spices, A boat cruise in Periyar Lake is very scenic and you have the possibility of watching the different animals on the shores. Overnight at Hotel
